Philadelphia CVB Partners with YourTour to Help International Travelers Plan and Book Their Next Philadelphia Holiday

Philadelphia, June 24, 2011 – YourTour, the online travel planning solution and the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau (PCVB), the official organization to promote international tourism for the City of Philadelphia, announced their new partnership last night in New York City with the help of Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium. (Photos available upon request.) YourTour and the PCVB have agreed to integrate a white label solution of YourTour’s trip planning technology into the website of www.philadelphiaUSA.travel. This innovative web application will enable international travelers to build, book and share their customized travel itineraries in and around the city of Philadelphia. Site is expected to be live this fall.

After answering a few basic questions about their trip (like when and where they want to go), YourTour users receive an initial tour proposal in just 15 seconds. A detailed itinerary recommends tourist attractions and hotel accommodations; all displayed on maps thanks to Google’s cartography tools. Next, users can specify their preferences (budget, activity types, specific attractions or hotels, etc.) and request an updated, more personalized tour proposal. Once they get the trip they want, travelers can book all of their hotels in a single click. They can also share their itineraries with friends or followers on various social networks.

The YourTour decision support system is driven by a sophisticated computation engine. This tour planning engine takes into account hotel availability and rates, driving time, attractions’ opening days and hours, to create trip proposals that best suit the individual traveler, from budget to luxury tours. This one of a kind technology is the fruit of more than ten years of university research.

DeciZium Inc., the company’s Silicon Valley subsidiary (San Jose, CA) is responsible for marketing in the US, where YourTour proves to be particularly useful in planning road trips. Florida, a major travel destination, is the first American destination to be featured on the YourTour.com website. In addition to Philadelphia CVB, YourTour is also working with the convention and visitor bureau of Rapid City.
